Annually the Family Y runs a Strong Kids Campaign to provide scholarships and financial assistance for individuals and families in need. In addition the Y partners with community agencies by offering free memberships, facility use, programs and more. Some of these agencies are: ABC (A Better Chance of Westport), STAR, Inc., CLASP Homes, Families and Children's Agency, Hallbrooke Behavioral Health Services, Project Return, and Interfaith Housing. By collaborating with local non profits, those in need have more opportunity to get help and in turn our community is enriched.

The Strong Kids Campaign support also helps the Family Y operate safely and efficiently while meeting rising costs of doing business such as health benefits, fuel costs, and maintaining an aging facility. The Y continually exceeds basic standards in running programs which are a value to our members. Children learn and adults practice the character values of honesty, respect, and responsibility.
